The mixed salad with Black Forest ham


For the Salad:

2 servings of mixed greens
½ cup of sliced carrots (sliced widthwise)
¼ cup of shelled edamame

½ cup of sliced and quartered hothouse cucumber (or a regular cucumber)

¼ pound of thinly sliced Black Forest ham

¼ cup of dried cranberries
½ cup of crumbled blue cheese
1 cup of fresh whole blackberries

For the Blue Cheese Dressing:

½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup milk
½ teaspoon lemon juice
4 dashes salt
5 dashes ground black pepper
4 dashes onion powder
3 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese


For the Salad:

Add the mixed greens to a platter or individual serving plates. Next, top with the carrots, shelled edamame, and cucumbers. Then roll the slices of ham together in one big roll and slice the ham widthwise in thin strips. Then add the ham, dried cranberries, crumbled blue cheese and blackberries on top of the salad. Set aside for a moment.

For the Blue Cheese Dressing:

In a small bowl add the mayonnaise, milk, lemon juice, salt, pepper, onion powder and blue cheese. Mix together. Just before serving drizzle the blue cheese dressing on the salad.
